KAEC as a Global Leader in Sustainable Fisheries

By 2035, envisions establishing the state as a global leader in sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, with the following key objectives:

  • Becoming a Leader in Fish Production: Positioning KAEC as a top producer of freshwater and marine fish, significantly contributing to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Blue Economy.
  • Expanding Freshwater Aquaculture: Developing 15,000 hectares of tank and pond areas across 30 districts, adopting modern, science-driven aquaculture practices.
  • Boosting Fish Seed and Feed Production: Setting up 20 advanced hatcheries with a combined annual capacity of 30 crore fish seed, and establishing feed mills to produce 30,000 tonnes of high-quality fish feed per year.
  • Generating Employment Opportunities: Creating 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs, empowering fishers, entrepreneurs, and rural communities across the state.
  • Fostering Sustainable Coastal Aquaculture: Introducing targeted incentives and programs to enhance the production of shrimp, fish, and other marine species, ensuring ecological and economic sustainability.
