Fraudulent Communications and Messages

Stay Alert: Protect Yourself from Scams

Last Updated: 15th February 2025

At King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), your safety and trust are our top priorities. Unfortunately, fraudulent actors sometimes misuse our organization’s name to send misleading emails, text messages, and social media communications falsely claiming to represent us.

To help you identify and avoid scams, please note the following:

Authentic emails from KAEC will always use the domain @kaec.co.in

Be wary of messages from generic email domains like Yahoo, Gmail, or Hotmail, or suspicious addresses such as @kaecportindustrialarea-jobs.in

If you receive any doubtful communication, please contact us directly to verify its legitimacy. Stay vigilant and safeguard your personal information.

Common Fraudulent Tactics to Watch For

Fraudulent actors often create fake social media profiles, including on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, impersonating our Founder, Leadership Team, or key KAEC representatives. These imposters may send deceptive messages claiming affiliation with KAEC to solicit payments or personal information.

Beware of These Common Scams:

False Offers: Messages promoting:
✔ Memberships in non-existent KAEC programs
✔ Invitations to fake events like the “Exclusive KAEC Summit”
✔ Employment opportunities that require upfront payments
✔ Awards, grants, or financial incentives

Requests for Personal Details: Fraudsters may ask for:
✔ Passport details
✔ Bank account information
✔ Credit card or payment credentials

Payment Demands: Scammers may request:
✔ Payments via Western Union, MoneyGram, UPI, GPay, or other digital wallets
✔ Deposits for job offers, event participation, or business licenses

🚫 KAEC will NEVER ask for personal or financial information via email, text, or social media. If you receive such messages, they are fraudulent.

How to Identify Authentic Communications from KAEC

Official KAEC Emails:
✔ All KAEC communications come from @kaec.co.in. We use a strict Sender Policy Framework (SPF) to prevent email spoofing and detect fraudulent messages.

Event Participation:
✔ All KAEC events are by invitation only, reserved for verified members and guests. We never solicit participation through unsolicited messages or third-party platforms.

Employment Offers:
✔ KAEC does not send job offers through unsolicited emails, LinkedIn messages, or social media posts
✔ All official job openings are posted on our website
✔ We never request payments for recruitment or visa processing

No Awards or Grants via Messages:
✔ KAEC does not distribute awards, grants, or financial incentives via email, text messages, or social media. Any such claim is false and should be ignored.

Report Suspicious Communications

If you receive a suspicious email, text, or social media message claiming to be from KAEC, do not respond. Instead:

Forward the message to itsecurity@kaec.co.in for verification
Delete the message immediately if you suspect fraud

If You Have Shared Personal Information or Payment Details

Contact your bank or credit card provider immediately to report potential fraud or identity theft. Monitor your financial accounts for unauthorized transactions

KAEC disclaims all responsibility for any losses, costs, or damages resulting from fraudulent communications falsely associating with our initiative.

Stay vigilant. Report fraud. Protect yourself.
