The Intellectual Property and Innovation Council is dedicated to helping businesses secure and leverage their intellectual property rights (IPR). By fostering awareness, expediting IP registration, and building partnerships with research and development institutions, this Council empowers businesses to innovate confidently and grow sustainably.

Strengthening IP and Innovation Frameworks

  • Educate Businesses: Raise awareness about the importance of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other forms of intellectual property.
  • Streamline Registration Processes: Advocate for faster and more efficient IP registration systems to protect business innovations.
  • Promote R&D Collaboration: Build partnerships between businesses, academic institutions, and innovation hubs to foster groundbreaking advancements.

The Intellectual Property and Innovation Committee includes:

  • Respected IP Attorneys with expertise in patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Respected Innovation Leaders from startups and established enterprises.
  • Academic Researchers focused on commercializing inventions and technologies.
  • Policy Experts specializing in intellectual property laws and regulations.
  • Industry Representatives from sectors reliant on innovation, such as technology and media.

Engagement with Authorities: Advocating for Efficient Systems

Local-Level Engagement:

  • Collaborate with Honorable Leaders of innovation hubs and incubators in KAEC to foster a supportive ecosystem for startups and IP creators.

State-Level Collaboration:

  • Partner with Honorable Officials at the Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS) to promote innovation and streamline state-level IP initiatives.

Central-Level Representation:

  • Liaise with Honorable Shubhra Singh, Controller General of IP Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Honorable Anurag Jain, Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to ensure faster IP approvals and robust protections.
  • Engage with the National Innovation Councils to secure resources and promote collaboration.

The Director of IP and Innovation Advocacy will:

  • Lead awareness campaigns and workshops on intellectual property.
  • Represent businesses in discussions with IP offices and innovation councils.
